Has anyone tried Organo Gold - Ganoderma coffee or tea? If so, did it have a positive or negative affect on your platelets?

Thank you for any input.

Looks like the main ingredient is reishi mushroom. Here is some webmd advice: High doses of reishi mushroom might increase the risk of bleeding in people with thrombocytopenia. If you have this condition, don’t use reishi mushroom.

Erica,

Thank you for your information.

Last evening I was invited to a friend's home to try some tea and coffee. It was a sales pitch on Organo Gold - Ganoderma which I had never heard of previously.

I had a cup of the coffee and had my platelets checked today. To my shock, platelet count was only 10K. They were 23K two weeks prior. I had been exercising everyday and having a much healthier diet for past couple of weeks. I was anticipating the platelets to be up higher than 23K.

Apparently the reishi mushroom probably had a negative affect on the platelet count.

Thanks again for your input.
