I went to a naturopathic doctor in March- platelets @ <30. After doing a forensic hair analysis to determine my "imbalances" and what my actual problem is, she put me on vitamin supplements, change of diet, and a few other changes (filtering well water, starting probiotics, etc), My platelets were @ 100+ in 13 days. I actually went to check my platelets today and they are @ 223 (3 months later). I have been telling everyone and anyone who will listen about this doctor and what she's done for me. I'm sure all naturopaths are not created equal- but mine saved my life.
You can read my story under "natural treatments"- My naturopath success story: imbalance.
Hope this helps.
