RobFoss,
It's good to see that something is finally working for you. I know how you feel; I, too, had about 5 treatments of IVIG and about 5 treatments of Decadron (40mg). My skin is also really dry and itchy and will probably stay this way. Back in July and August my platelets had dropped to 1000--so I was in the same predictament as you. I stopped taking one of my medications (Sinequan) which is known to drop platelets back in August. I think between the IVIG, Decadron, and stopping this medication has helped me. My platelets had gone all the way up to 450,000 and then in February dropped down to 325,000. I'm hoping they will stay up. I don't get another blood test until June 15. My Hemo felt if was safe to go 4 months between blood tests. I think I would know if they were dropping into the danger zone. I've had ITP for five years this coming July. I was in remission for 4 years. Good luck to you.
