Prednisone During Rituxan was created by Wwfbader
I had my first Rituxan infusion yesterday which was stopped midway because I got chills, hives and some chest discomfort. The doctor gave me 100mg prednisone before the treatment but he isn't making me taper it. Should I be worried? When I asked him he said there was no need and it was only for the treatment.

No, you wouldn't have to taper a one time dose, even if it is large. A taper is only needed if you are on it long enough to affect the adrenals.
