Yes, me. I took it for about 5 weeks and had increasing nausea. I felt so dreadful by the end of that time that I actually left work at lunch time and came home and I have never done that before in my life. The next day I took it and vomited. That's when I stopped it and took it no more.

Just posted on another thread about treatment options in general - I'm OK on azathioprine, after having to monitor the doses really carefully after a bad reaction when we put the dose up from 50mg to 100 mg a day - went back to 25mg a day until liver and everything else had recovered, then increased very slowly so am now fine on 75mg a day, with a platelet count of 58 (which is amazing for me). Can understand this drug isn't for everyone though - I"m still really careful to take it when I've just eaten, and split my dose into 3 x 25mg, taken at three different meals. That seems to work ... for me anyway.

I take 100 mg of azathioprine daily, not for my ITP (in remission since splenectomy 5 years ago), but for psoriasis & psoriatic arthritis. I have had no bad side effects from it at all. Apparently the side effects are quite variable for different people, since I have seen plenty of information about it causing stomach problems.

Hope things settle down!
