Farida:

You're not going to know if it worked for a while yet. If the good counts last at least another 8 weeks, then you can probably say that Rituxan kicked in.

Dropping that much is okay. The steroids are wearing off slowly. He is at a very average count right now. It's perfect. You really don't want it too high.

Counts will bounce around even during and after Rituxin. I have had two rounds of Rituxin treatments. I responded slow, even several weeks after the last treatment. It can be quite Frustrating, just be patient.

I've had 4 rounds also and went from 32000 last week and now 25000. Doctor added 3 more rounds.. Very frustrating.

Not sure why you are receiving 3 more rounds already. 4 is the usual treatment, then wait to see how Platelets respond. Counts will fluctuate during and after treatment.

That is what I keep reading also. I go back on Friday to see the Doctor,CBC, then infusion. Trying to get a list of questions ready for him, since every time I go in I have a massive brain fart. Thanks for the reply.

Seven weekly treatments in a row? I don't think I've ever heard of anyone doing that before.

Great!!
Do not get discouraged if it drops again. That is quite normal.
