Help needed for Michellek was created by milly
Hi all,
I have received an email today from a friend of Michellek, she is back in the hospital after having her spleen removed less then two weeks ago with a count of 9k, the doctors are now suggesting a four week treatment of rixitun (spelling)?.

I am hoping that those of you with more knowledge then me can give her some help and support.

Thank you
Milly

I think Michelle may be able to read the advice but she cannot log on to ask.

Rituxan working or not does not appeared to be related to having a spleen.

Hope you are feeling better soon Michelle -

Sorry to hear that. I was wondering why they made the splenectomy out to be such an emergency...it shouldn't have been. Rituxan is a viable next treatment. I certainly hope it works.

Good luck, Michelle!

Be patient. Rituxin can take awhile to kick in. I have had two rounds of Rituxin.
Good Luck Michellek!!

Quick update on Michelle, she is still in hospital. Her last counts was 14 she is having weekly Rituxen and Decradon ( I think that is what it is) She is having a bit of a hard time so I am sure she appreciates the support.
