muscle pain after IVIG?? was created by jef
It has been over a year since I have visited this site...things have been going well. I have Ivig about every 6 mos. This last time the Ivig did not hold as long, and I needed another infusion after just 2 mos. (I'll start another thread for that one).
My question is............. Has anyone ever experienced extreme muscle pain after an IVIG infusion? This happened to me the day after the infusion. My back was so stiff, and would grab me in a spasm. I did nothing to injur it. I was baffled by the symptom, and could only attribute it to the infusion.
No one at the hospital infusion treatment area could attribute the symptom to the infusion. I have let it run the course, but four days later I am still a little stiff.
IVIG has been a great drug for me, and I have had zero problems with it...
So what has been your experience regarding muscle pain.
Thanks for your feedback in advance.

Hey Jean, I have only had the IVIg done a couple of times and don't recall that symptom. But everyone is different so you never know. I am curious to see if any other experienced this.
