Rhiannon:

I don't think Prednisone is causing symptoms of septic shock or meningitis to return. I think it means things like old bone fractures or physical injuries. Nearly everyone feels joint and muscle pain at some point in different areas of the body during the taper. If it's fleeting, I wouldn't worry about it. You could ask your doctor the next time you see him, but it doesn't sound serious.

thank you for that piece of 'good' news.

Am down from 60mg (following the programme) to 25mg prednisolone since thursday and last night I did manage to tell myself that the evenings am feeling that extra level of tiredness is when I have either walked into town or home (approx 2 miles). On the days I feel stiff effects such as yesterday - I haven't walked. So I am guessing it is kind of one tiredness level or the other:-}

My next check up is 2nd February (candlemass-for a few of us:-)} when am down to 15mg a day. If ache feeling is still there then I will mention it if I.

The 2 miles is a walk I do regular enough anyway and find it a good way to help gain a healthy sleep. Though may be I will pace it better this tuesday as have a meal in the evening.
Thank you
