139 would be 139k or 139,000 I'm assuming.

If you are talking to me I did not tell you to get anything checked out.

You asked

15 yrs, ago number was 139,.000, so when people talk about their number? how does 139,000 translate ? To 139?

and I told you what 139 was to us ITPers.

A 139,000 platelet count I don't think is really ITP. Someone who knows more than me will chime in.

I don't know if I'm more knowledgable than you (you seem quite knowledgable!), but I will also chime in and agree that a platelet count of 139,000 could be referred to as 139k or just 139 if we are being sloppy and cutting off the thousands (anyone who understands the range of platelet lab result values will understand perfectly what 139 means). And whatever you want to call your 139,000, it's a perfectly good and normal platelet count. So absolutely nothing to worry about!

Mel, I think she may be referring to your quote from the doctor under all your posts.
