I am so tired. I am getting IVIg now 3x a week and I see my OB (an hour away) 2x a week. I have very little time for anything these days. My c-section is scheduled for May 23rd at 39 weeks but my OB has said I can *try* self induction techniques beginning next week. I really thought it would be in everyones (mine and baby) best interest for them to get my counts up and deliver him. I am so tired of all these appointments and being pregnant. I am at 49,000 platelets and have been told less than 100,000 to plan on general anesthesia. Boo
Diagnosed with ITP 2/7/11
Treating regularly with IVIg
Currently in the low 100's

When I went into labor counts were around 26...so there is a way. I got platelet transfussions...IVIG and steriods...got me up to 92 and I got an epi...so there is hope. Once things are moving along the doctors work fast to get your counts up. So keep your chin up and even if they do put you under...the baby will be here safe and sound. I walked and walked. Got me to 5. So walk and once your admitted things may be different I got IVIG in Labor and Delivery. So at least it will save u a drive back.
