Where are your levels sitting?

I found out about my ITP when I became pregnant with my son. I have only ever been treated with IVIG but if you had an allergic reaction to it I wouldn't suggest trying it again. Changes are you will have a worse reaction to it if you have it again.

My count with my first pregnancy hovered around 45 and with this pregnancy around 28. I don't have any symptoms though. I am fine sitting at this level the only concern would be delivery.

I did rituxian November 2009. I found out I was pregnant in July 2010. Currenlty 38 weeks. My counts have been 30-40 throughout. With a slight bump up to 55. I usually respond really well to IVIG however because of the pregnancy I havent responded very well. I havent had to take steriods until this week as I am being induced tomorrow. You can have a safe vaginal birth with no epidural. So if you want to get pregnant talk to your doctors see what they advise. I am responding to steriods just high doses. So Im hoping for a safe delivery and that I can manage without pain meds.

My counts have been 3,000-149,000 (as of 3-28-11 I was 38,000) since Feb. I have been on high doses of Prednisone and IVIg weekly since with what I consider little improvement. I am followed closely and feel confident in my doctors. I would advise you to talk to your OB and PCP before starting your baby dance! Good luck!
