Hello,

My name is Lee, my son Dustin was diagnosed Dec 14th with ITP.
We had to rush him to the ER due to bruising appearing out of no where all over his body. His counts where 3 when we got to the ER.

I am not sure how this works just looking around and looking for support.

Yes... Sunday Morning at 1:30 am he had 6 hours of IVIG

He was so tired at this point when they start he slept threw it... Got a bad headache afterwards...

Im just sad and confused I guess. See his little body go threw this is horrible... He bumped his chin in the hospital and it blew up to the worst bruise I have ever seen one him...

:( I feel for you, those are nasty looking..Sadly that is what ITP looks like. ITP is confusing and frustrating. The good news is kids are acute cases often, and even if they become chronic cases they normally adjust well, or get themselves to a "safe" number. IVIG often leaves kids miserable, headaches are very common. What was his count after the treatment?
