Relatively newly diagnosed! was created by Jacchab
Hello there. I am a parent of a 10 year old daughter who was diagnosed with ITP in Feb of this year.
I really don't have too much to say other than, I am soo pleased I found this web site. This is the second 'glitch' we have had in her short life, and I'm sure we can get over this also. I have spent the last two days 'trolling' through comments and have found most of them to be so helpful. I know there will be ups and downs, but I have already figured out that there is a hell of a lot of support on here.

Cheers,
Jac :)

When my son was diagnosed July 2011 I found this site after he was in the hospital 3 weeks, trying treatment after treatment. They sent him home with a count of 3 (18 months old) I seriously thought I was going to lose him, he stayed so low. I knew no one else going through it, no one understood, and Dr's scared me worse. Finding PDSA seriously is the only thing that got me through it!! Welcome I hope this is a short journey for your daughter!!
