Well looks like people decided to get nasty on my last post so it was locked. Anyways we are back in the saddle and my daughter is back to normal. She just needed a good nights rest and to get some good food and water. For anybody that was concerned we are working closely with her regular doctor also and would have taken her in if there was a problem. We are 2-3 miles from hospital and they have told us what to do and when...

Stoic:

I am very relieved to know that your daughter is doing better. I had trouble falling asleep last night.

The fact is though, you painted a very graphic picture of how ill your daughter was. I think it is human nature to become concerned about others, especially since the group here tends to be close-knit.

No one was suggesting that you stop using homeopathy and get medical treatment for your daughter's ITP. The suggestion was that you seek medical care for the apparent crisis she seemed to be in due to the serious description of it. That was not an unreasonable suggestion. I am getting increasingly annoyed by the know-it-all attitudes that basically scream "NO" at the mention of a doctor. Something bad is going to happen eventually and I will not just sit by and allow that to happen without giving my two cents. I couldn't live with myself if I said nothing.

I think it would be best if you kept the serious, scary events off of the Forum. If you need help and advice, you can contact whomever you choose and the rest of us will not have to be subjected to the worry and bad advice.

This is my stance and it will not change.

I'm so glad Stoic's child has pulled through the crisis, I was super worried too. Sandi has some good advice. It also occurs to me that some of us are sure to be mandated reporters and that is an odd position, to sense a child in danger on an electronic forum. Not sure what the courts would say.
