my child had a platelet count of 3000 for a week went in on friday to get a cbc done and her count was down to 2000. They gave her a ivig treatment. She was fine till about 24 hrs after she came down with a high temp and a bad headache it's last for more then 24 hrs how long does it last any one know

Hi Dawn,

Sofia had an IVIG treatment in December. She also had fever and headache but they had given her high dose steriod for 4 days which seemed to have helped her symptoms. Is your child on steriods?

My 7y/o daughter was diag about 8 wks ago. She was down to 2000 and had the ivig treatment. She didn't have any fever from it but she did have a really bad headache for a little over a week.

They never gave Brianna any steriods they just told me to give her tylenol she still has a slight headache. Her count is up to 137000 yesterday
