Hi Julie,
I am new to this also but just wanted to say hi and send a post. This is an excelelnt resource and place for support, and I'm glad you found it. there is a lot to learn on this site if you look around.

My 12 yr old daughter was diagnosed about 2.5 weeks ago so we are in the early going too.

I'm assuming you are working with a hematologist. Others here who know much more than me can help you. Snoop around here and get the good overview of the disease, treatments (icnlduing watchful waiting), and good luck. You are not alone.

best, Firkins (another ITP mom)

Firkins (mom of Zoe (15) and Mia (13). Mia has ITP. Diagnosed 3/2012.
