Steven and I both have a job information session this coming Sunday. Yippee!! We've both applied to a company that is opening a store here in Saint John. Some of my fellow Canadians may know the company; Princess Auto. There are stores in a couple of other Provinces. Hopefully they'll like us both and hire us!

Well, Steven and I are off to our appointment in a couple of hours! Here's hoping we both get hired and he won't have to go back to the call center!

Thanks for the well wishes.

Good luck Cindy and Cindy's husband!

I have a 'final interview' on Friday, it is 8 hours of interviews, role plays and I have to give a presentation.

Good luck, Erica! I thought 1 hour was long enough; 2 interview teams, 1/2 hour each. I'd be a nervous wreck if I had to do 8 and a presentation.

I know! This is my fourth interview with this company. First, screening with the recruiter on the phone. Second, an hour with the hiring manager in person. Third, an hour with that person's boss on the phone. Now I have a full day. 2 interviews in the morning with other managers, a meeting with a teammate, lunch, then a role play and then a presentation. I'm stressed!!! GAAAAAAAAAAAA

I thought I had an awful interview once, but yours, Erica sure tops that! I once interviewed for a law firm. I was in a conference room with four lawyers, every one of them firing questions at me at the same time. It was like playing tennis with four opponents. Two of them asked job related questions, one was interested in where I grew up, and one wanted to know how my kids would affect my job. I must have done okay because they hired me two hours after I left them.

Well, for better or worse, the interview is over. Now we just sit and wait to hear sometime around the middle of next week if we have jobs or not. I have no doubt that Steven will get hired!

The waiting is over, neither one of us a job there. Oh, well, I'll just keep looking and he'll go back to the call center for now.

They did say they'd keep our resumes on file for a year.

Around here, I don't think there are many places that want to hire 54 y/o's/

I actually knew the other day after the interview. Just had that feeling, you know? Anyway, I'll just keep looking! Maybe I'll find something. Christmas is coming, after all.
