My hematologist - really do like this man.

I'll be having basal joint reconstruction surgery on my right thumb in a couple months. I told my hematologist about it and that I'd have the surgeon get in touch with him. He said that was ok, he isn't worried about bleeding - and if need be there is always a tourniquet!! :laugh:

I have been smiling about that ever since - he had me & my husband laughing. No sweat, there's always a tourniquet :)

And you know what, with surgery on that limb he's right!!

I like a doctor with a sense of humor too! That is the saying around our house now, well there's always a tourniquet ;)

Eh, that comment wouldn't have bothered me. Mine made an off the wall comment once. My counts were really low and I was telling him that I had a lot of clots when I had my period. He just smiled and said, "Frogs". Huh?

I meant when you went in for your neck surgery Sandi. I do like this hematologist a lot [coming from the lady who fired a couple endos and was thinking of firing her PCP], he was going to retire in a couple years but has decided to stay working and just slow down. I'm delighted!
