3 weeks till we travel to the US. Haven't thought a lot about our trip due to farm work (sowing new cereal crops) & family commitments. Starting to get a bit nervous now. Platelet count last week was 35 - all good.
If anyone would like to meet, albeit briefly, we have a day in LA, a week in Minneapolis, a week in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin (at the same time as the ITP conference) & 3 days in NY.
PM me or else know that that I will be thinking fondly of all my ITP friends as we travel across. You have given me the courage to fly!

Hey MJ, The trip is nearly here, so exciting. I hope you have the best time at least you will be going to a better weather. We are off to sunny Queensland in a couple of weeks so that should be good.
Anyway just wanted to say have a great time and enjoy your travels!

Thank you Milly x
Are you managing a decent break? Travelling around or staying in one place?
I'm sure it will be beneficial for you, both physically & emotionally.

I would love to be able to meet with you MJ! I just always have a serious lack of time and none of those places are near me. NY is the closest but still about a 7 hour drive.

I hope you enjoy your trip. I'd love to go to Australia one day!

Hi all,
We have had a wonderful week with our fiends in Minnesota - they have generously shown us your beautiful country side & fed us well!
Off to Wisconsin today. All good so far,

Another lovely week spent visiting friends (our daughter's exchange family) in Wisconsin. Sadly, our friend's elderly mother died the day before we arrived. We felt extremely priviledged to be involved in the following days, celebrating her life, & meet all the family in the event. Since, we have had plenty of laughs & lots of love.
Off to New York early in the morning for 3 days. Still hanging on to my platelets next to my passport!!

Sounds like you are having a great time, aren't you glad you went. Enjoy the American summer cause it is cold and wet here in Oz.

Oh golly - crazy it sure is! We've had a couple of great days exploring by bus & saw Lion King tonight - fabulous. Can't believe I am actually here - the place is frenetic, loud & I am amazed I haven't been hit by anything!! Mind you, Greg has been hanging on to me tight!
We fly to France tomorrow to tour the battlefields where my Grandfather fought in WWI.

Have had a very busy couple of weeks. We had an excellent tour in the north of France of the WWI Battlefields - our guide spoke good English & specialised in the Australian history. Our farm is named after a small French town in the area so it was very meaningful for us.
A couple of brief days in Paris / we did a bus tour of the city sights.
We are now spending a week with young friends in the NW of Spain. It is absolutely beautiful country/seaside & we are being very spoilt.
Missing our family but otherwise well. Heading home Friday.

We are home safely & our suitcase arrived after 4 flights as well - very relieved.
We have had a wonderful time, seen some great sights & eaten fabulous meals with loving, generous friends. We are very fortunate. Nice to be home, despite the cold, windy weather here. I stayed well (Greg used our insurance when he had to visit a Dr. twice in the US with a throat infection). I am so glad I took the plunge.
