  • Take a look on the Amgen site, I'm their "poster girl", if you will, for Nplate. It's kind of a nice video, probably tells my story as well as I could here.

ITP on General Hospital was created by libelder
No foolin', am I the only one that saw it? One of the last scene's on today's General Hospital had Luke and Laura's grandson being diagnosed with ITP- whoooo hoooo! I mean it's a weird thing to cheer, but... that's some serious national publicity for ITP, could create some real awareness. I was really excited!

Yeah, it's my secret shame- I didn't even watch "back in the day", my ex got me hooked on it in the 80's. This is grandchild number three or so- and we ARE old!

I haven't watched it since the 70's. In my head, they are still teenagers.

ITP got a mention on our own 'Casualty' this week. Turned out to be von Willebrands but it was close.

LOL, my mom just called me to tell me about it. I've never watched GH but I'll be looking for it today.

I have seen it mentioned on CSI and criminal minds once or twice, I sadly got v over excited, not sure which it was, CSI/Criminal minds, but it was in Mexico I think, where people were having private operations/no licensing and they said how one of the patients must have had ITP cos he bleed out....CSI knows these things, lol, and another time where they said low platelet for a womans head injury. Just thought I'd share that :)
