CindyL - 2 photos I took - no snakes was created by Melinda
Thought you might enjoy these 2 photos I took a couple years ago - I love trying to to get critter photos like you got your bluejay!

There were redbanded bumblebees in the catmint in front of our house - I was actually sitting among them to take photos, they didn't mind me being there at all.

Had a pot of flowers in the rock area in our back yard - one day while watering it the water went over the side into the rock & under the pot. I saw a "flicker" and did a double-take, there was a garden snake looking at me from under the pot as if to say "you are flooding my house woman!". He was so darn cute.
Removed photo of snake for Cindy - want her to be able to come here!

Hey Melinda, love the bumble bee shot, but sorry to say, I have an intense fear of snakes, even garden or grass ones.

If I can remember how to post the pictures, I'll post the squirrel and the deer I got too.

I just started a new job yesterday, so unfortunately Steven and I don't get to go out exploring together for the next 4 weeks while I'm in training; his days off I'm in class; my days off, he's working.

I went to work at the same Call Center as my husband. 11.50 and hour for my training and once I hit the floor, that could go up to 12.50. Not something I thought I would ever do, but the money is great! Today is only day 3 of my training, so I'll stick it out a bit longer.

The turtle shot is great! I like that. Couldn't see the bee for the other thing. I love looking at the pictures that get posted, but because of my intense fear of snakes, I can't look at pictures of those. So that means I can't come back to this thread. :(

Thank you Milly - sometimes I get good shots, lots of time I don't. But I was proud of that bumble bee photo, his head inside the flower and how he is holding on to the flower. I'd never seen a red banded bumble bee until they descended on the catmint flowers.

Cindy my snake photo is gone!

I don't think I've seen a black & white bee before Sandi.

I took out my snake too. I didn't know you were that afraid!

The bee is yellow and black.

Good luck with the job, Cindy. Is it like 911?

Gee, thanks, ladies, that's really great of you! I'm so afraid of them, I can't look at any kind of picture, even a cartoon. Not sure what started the fear.

Sandi, no it's a cell phone service here in Canada, Bell Mobility. If you have an issue with your cell, you call us. All in-bound. It's different, that's for sure! Today was kinda rough; didn't think I wanted to stay. But I will.

And yeah, that bee looks like he's up-side down showing off his white butt!

No, black bum, yellow head. As far as I can tell, he is a carpenter bee. It took a while to ID him and he shouldn't be on a flower then!
