mrsb I didn't know when I was going to get the vaccine, had my routine CBC on January 29 - then got the email to make an appt for the covid vaccine which ended up being on February 6 I think I'm going to ask my hematologist for another CBC a week or 2 after my 2nd vaccine dose just for curiosity sake.As a point of interest UK ITP association is collecting data on platelet counts pre and post vaccination.
I got my shot this afternoon! They were doing Pfizer today, and everything went smoothly. I told them about my bleeding disorder (that was one of the questions), and they just made me wait there for thirty minutes of observation after receiving my shot instead of the usual fifteen. I had no adverse reaction at the time and no excessive bleeding. Presumably my count is still decent and hasn't started tanking post-steroid course yet.MelA wrote: momto3boys - fabulous count! Let us know how it goes tomorrow and which vaccine you received. I got Pfizer in my dominate arm and didn't get sore. My 2nd dose is on the 27th

I'm going to ask for a count after my 2nd dose, get it on a Saturday so was thinking of getting the CBC either the Wednesday or Thursday after it. Can't wait to hear what your count is this week! Let us know!!
